Tough Guy Challenge
Before their was Tough Mudder, Spartan Race or Warrior Dash there was the Tough Guy Challenge. It is the brainchild of a man by the name of Mr. Mouse. The Tough Guy is held each year in Wolverhampton in the United Kingdom. It is the original obstacle race and mud run. The Tough Guy is held in the cold of February and is known to have participants fighting hypothermia as they also tackle the 15K course.
The Spartan Race is known around the world for their race venues. However Vermont is where the company draws it’s roots and holds its championships each fall. For the Spartan Race Enthusiast it is a must do race. The Beast Course also the World Championship Course covers approximately 15 miles of the rugged terrain on the Killington Mountain ski resort.
World’s Toughest Mudder

Tough Mudder isn’t enough for some OCR enthusiasts, the ultimate challenge in the Tough Mudder world is World’s Toughest Mudder. This event is held annually in November pushing athletes to race for 24-hours on the 5-mile loop course. Each loop has about 28 obstacles that participants must run, jump, crawl, and climb around. As well as at least on electrified obstacle. In 2014 the race will be held in Las Vegas for the first time in past years it was held in New Jersey and participants were known to run through snow and ice
